When we got to the actual village we had to cross a foot bridge (the wiggly ones you see in movies).
Then we went along the path and we passed out pencils to the kids we saw. When we ate lunch there were two boys at the house we ate lunch at and we accidentally gave each of them 8 pencils because they kept asking for more. Our tour guide Ji made the lunch. It was soup (not a surprise). It was very good. We couldn't really eat in peace because dogs kept bothering us. When we dropped food on the floor they growled to get some. On the way back we bought from the ladies that were following us.
Thankfully we didn't have to walk all the way up the hill. Our jeep met us right at the bridge. When went up the hill in the jeep we had to cross a river with stones going through. It was very bumpy. I hit my head on the window.
When we got back to Sapa we saw Ji's house and she sold our parents a traditional black flower hmong (pronounced mong) dress.
