My family and I went to Hoi An a pretty little river town on Christmas weekend. We stayed nearby on the beach at the Swiss-Belhotel it has one of the the biggest pools in Vietnam!!!!! We swam, and played on the beach. The weather was hot and sunny, perfect pool and beach weather! But it did not feel at all like Christmas.
In the town we shopped and we ate and we shopped some more. My dad bought two new suits and a sport coat from a custom tailor. My mom bought a million lanterns and some art. My sister Maya got a doll, a lantern and a coconut bowl. My other sister Serena got a doll, jewelry and a lantern. I got a doll, a giant coin and a lantern. The waves were perfect for body surfing! And the pool had a pirate ship and you could turn the water on and water sprayed from everything it was awesome! We only stayed there for three days so it was time to leave.

Swan Boats
Today we went to a visit a pagoda and the lake where John McCain crashed his airplane in the Vietnam War. We rode some Swan Boats in Tru Bac Lake. I got to steer but I accidentally crashed into maya's boat. Me and my dad got a boat and Maya, Serena, and my mom rode in their boat. The swan boats were paddle boats and my feet could hardly reach the peddles. So my dad did most of the work. But I Still had a great time.

Great pictures from today! I would just love to visit that little village - it looks so quaint and interesting. The swan boats look like such fun and what a pretty pool. I know you wouldn't be swimming outside if you were at home!
